Great from the start, was granted an early check in, which I find very important when needed. Very friendly front desk staff and very helpful with directions. The room was very clean and roomy. The walk in showers are very nice and roomy. Housekeeping service was on time and they did a great job. I'll be back to stay.

We stayed here with for a wedding in Austin. The hotel is impressive & delivers 100% in almost all areas. From the welcome champagne at checkout, hotel/ front desk staff was terrific. Very comfy beds & pillows. Rooftop pool & bar were wonderful & check out the view there around sunset!||Staff for the most part was a 10. Re: housekeeping, they came to our room a few times, however never actually cleaned/ picked up trash, etc. We were leaving one time & told them to give us 30 min. & they could clean them. They never came back, however when we saw them in the hall they were very generous with extra clean towels. This wasn't really a huge deal but thought I'd share. ||Stella San Jac restaurant had terrific & delicious (although rather pricey) food both times we ate there, service could be better. Very slow to get to your table (even with reservation), and meals take awhile to deliver. However the food was excellent. ||Azul pool & bar were great. We never ate there (as we were not offered any menus any of the times we were visiting there). Drinks were decent. The view is spectacular from there!! ||Speaking of no menus - there were a couple times we would have ordered room service but we never saw a menu for this or how to order anywhere in the room or hotel. That was a bit disappointing. ||It should be noted that parking there is $69 per day! Parking in Austin is a challenge, so we paid it. But it added $276 for our 4 day stay!! ||While I've noted these small things above, we would not hesitate to stay there again when we return to Austin!

We LOVED this hotel! Marie-Grace at reception was wonderful and set the tone from the moment we arrived. She extended a warm mimosa welcome and later guided us to Tacos 10/10 which was one of our favourite spots to eat. The hotel has a boutique feel and changed our perception of what a Westin can be. Nothing about this felt like a chain hotel. The lobby is lovely, the rooms are tastefully appointed with comfortable beds, quality linens and beautiful bathrooms, and the rooftop pool area is a lovely place to unwind. A surprisingly luxurious stay! 10/10 would recommend.

The rooms are decent and the bedding is nice. The food at the restaurant downstairs is very good.

Many people book this hotel for the rooftop pool. The rooftop pool area is scorching hot with no shade. They have somewhat shaded cabanas for which they charge $400/several hours + $200 minimum in food and drinks. They don't allow umbrellas to be open even on a day like today (5mph wind) because "the umbrellas might fly away". Zero effort to make the guests feel comfortable up there, so we couldn't really enjoy it.

There are homeless/mentally ill people walking back and forth in front of the hotel like zombies. The hotel hires security to chase them away all day long. This morning one of them whipped a glass bottle at the customers having breakfast and the bottle shattered and shards flew within inches of us. Many are smoking drugs right in the open. No police presence.

Never ever go into the elevator without your key card! I forgot mine, got into the elevator, the door closed and I was trapped in there without lights, AC or cell signal for over 10 minutes and the emergency service was of no help at all. They couldn't even open the door for me to get out, or make the elevator go to the lobby. Then they just ended the call! Luckily an employee came to use the elevator, but it was early on Sunday and it could have been a lot longer. That was really scary and completely unacceptable. They must implement a proper emergency system (at least an intercom to call the front desk) if someone forgets their card.

I wouldn't stay here again.

Amazing experience! We recently dined at this amazing restaurant, our plans changed and we had to take our food to go. This was a seamless experience thanks to Jillian, she greeted us and had our order taken so quickly. She gave us the best recommendations on the menu, what juices and coffees will pair best, and was able to get us taken care of and out the door in no time at all. Thank you Jillian! We will definitely be back again.

We visited the Westin Austin Downtown for a brief escape from San Antonio. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. The rooms and beds were spotless and very comfortable. We also savored the delicious breakfast at Stella’s each morning and appreciated the convenient location near major attractions. The security staff at all entrances made us feel secure. Additionally, when we had an issue with the shower in our room, maintenance responded immediately and resolved it within minutes. It was an excellent stay, and we look forward to returning.
