This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Everything was superb from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. It’s a relatively small boutique luxury hotel set in an old royal palace. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. The lobby is elegant, yet quaint, with nice seating areas to relax or to have a drink. The inside restaurant is set in an impressive library. The outside restaurant is set in a beautiful courtyard. It has the ambiance of a countryside chateau. The service throughout our stay was outstanding in every way. The staff knew us by name, were extremely friendly, and consistently went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They helped with directions, recommendations, transportation, and reservations. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience, and will definitely look to stay here again if we return to Madrid.

A small group of us came in for a post-dinner drink and were so kindly greeted by Filippo at the bar. He made recommendations to each of us based on our preferences, engaged in a long, entertaining discussion about his ties to both Chicago and New York where we hail from, and even sat down for a chat despite the late hour. It was a night all of us will remember forever and we credit it to Filippo! 10/10 drinks, 12/10 service!

What a fabulous hotel that has kept its authentic palatial feel and ambience. |Fantastic staff, especially Abigail on reception who could not be more helpful right from checkin to departure. The waiting staff in the hotel were also very good as was the food in the Biblioteca, the Dukes library . Favorites were the Anchovies and tomato bread, Sweetbreds and the Stone fish.|Rooms were unique and with great coffee table books to browse and beds very comfortable. Well worth a visit.

Diese und das Restaurant ist regelmäßig voll von auswärtigen Gästen. Kein reservierter Bereich für Hausgäste.|Zu den exklusiven Übernachtungspreisen passt auch nicht das kleinliche Abrechnen der Minibar und des Frühstücks (wenn man denn einen Platz findet).|Empfehlung: Besuch in der Bar oder Restaurant, aber nicht übernachten.

What a beautiful hotel with great staff and attention to detail. Particular mention to the fabulous Isabelle who checked us in and showed us the room and took care of all our requirements with a winning smile..Top class!|A unique palace experience.Food in the Biblioteca restaurant just fantastic…Sweetbreads were my favorite , , anchovies and tomatoes bread, steak with Foie Gras and the Stone fish were also excellent . Staff and surrounding great, a real treat.

Located in an upscale neighborhood but also around the corner from small boutiques and cafes, this hotel is a stunner. The hotel was recently renovated in an opulent manner, reminiscent of the belle epoch, yet it feels fresh and modern. The staff are genuinely helpful, friendly and efficient. Unbeknownst to us, they realized it was my daughter's birthday and left balloons and a small cake in our room. Attention to detail does not get any better than that. A plus for me - it is not in the tourist hub-bub area of Madrid but the Prada and Thiessen were a nice stroll away for those who enjoy walking. Also the grounds encompassed lovely green spaces for out-door tea or cocktails. Obviously I will return.

Excels in many things. First the design to the utmost detail of fine design. The staff is really trained to attend you at any moment. The patio in the backyard is absolutely delicious, for lunch or dinner with an exceptional service but simple food for midday. Lack of noise it is really charming. One of the few real 5 stars hotel in Madrid. As great one!!
