We arrived here as a large group to attend a family wedding in a Winery nearby. Between the ten of us, we booked five rooms. Two couples got their room in the main building, the other two got theirs in the building across from the parking lot, and we had our larger cottage in the back part, behind the swimming pool. ||We did not see the other people’s rooms, but our room was fairly large with a King Bed, a cozy sitting area, a fireplace, a little open balcony outside and a huge spacious Bathroom that contained some really nice, spa-quality amenities, plus soft bath robes in the closet. We were on the second floor, and it was quiet and peaceful there.||Our statuses gave us food credits at Benicia’s Kitchen for all the rooms, but given our busy schedule, we were only able to use those for Breakfast on the first morning. We left before they opened on the other days. We had dinner on our first night at Wit and Wisdom which was very nice.||We received exemplary service from all the staff members. The Bellman was especially helpful to us holding the door open while we were lugging items for the wedding, brought us a cart as we were unloading, and greeted us pleasantly every time we crossed paths. The Vintage VW painted Van outside was lovely.||The Grounds were immaculately maintained. Along the walking path, we saw roses and other flowers, pretty wisteria, berry bushes and tons of flowers outside. So pretty…||We loved our three-day stay here, and will definitely return on our next visit to Sonoma.

Delightful lodge with the exquisite spa located in the back of the property. Clean and properly maintained facilities. A nice restaurant which is dog friendly and helpful staff. They gave us a voucher to use for breakfast which was fresh and yummy.

The highlight was my deep tissue massage by Lucas who knows his stuff. If you like hard and deep pressured massage, be sure to ask for him. The scrub shower with various salt minerals which is free to use afterwards was a nice relaxing touch.

The only negative comment is that the jacuzzi had only one working jet, was old, and hadn't been cleaned with leaves swimming around. We will definitely consider returning as they are very dog friendly : )

Great stay. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, perfect location. The afternoon wine tastings were fun! Be sure to visit the concierge to take advantage of the amenities. The shuttle too and from the square was nice but it was close enough we were able to walk there and back. We were also able to take a day trip to see redwoods and the Pacific coast as well as enjoy wineries.

Me and my husband went for our Honeymoon. This place was exactly what we needed. The room was cozy, and the staff there were great! They made sure everything was running smooth for us. The breakfast was amazing. I gave lavender satchels as souvenirs for my family and friends and they loved the idea. Also the free daily wine tasting was a great way for us not to leave the resort. We will stay here again on our next trip. We ate at Wt & Wisdom one night. They sat us, but forgot about us, because they were training a new person. No big deal, they gave us free items. Food was really good and inspite of forgetting about us, their service was awesome!!

The rooms in this hotel are horrible. I don’t know how they justify charging $800+ a night. The pictures look so much nicer than what they actually are. It’s like you walked into a motel. We were going to check out and go somewhere else but it was already 6pm so we decided it was only one night and decided to stay. They offered us $60 off breakfast.

We decided to go to dinner. After we got back, we realized there was no hot water. They sent someone up to fix it and he said the water heater blew out and that he turned it back on and should be 5 min. Nope. Still no hot water. They sent maintenance up again. He left to go get some part and finally came back and fixed it.

Then we were fixing up the pull out bed for our daughter and noticed the sheets smelled horrible. They brought sheets right away. They didn't smell very good either but at this point we didn't want to call again.

The bed was very uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep and woke up with our backs killing us.

The next morning we went to breakfast. It is expensive for what you get and the food wasn’t very good. It was cold and tasted like it had been sitting for hours. We didn’t even eat half of it.

The only good thing I can say is the bartender was very friendly and the staff that helped us Friday night were friendly and really tried helping us with everything we encountered. As for a lady at the front desk Saturday morning she was very rude.

This is a nice place in so many respects and I might even go back. They do all the big things right. Helpful and friendly staff, cottages are cozy- almost. The furniture and carpet need to be updated and mold in shower, gross. Stains on furniture, fingernails in the carpet in a far corner. I love the autograph collection and normally they do things to the nines. I enjoyed the peace and serenity of property. For the most part everything was clean but some mold and finger nails completely grossed me out. Also they have no towel racks or hooks in the bathroom which I found odd.

This place was beautiful. The rooms are well worth it. I stayed here for an event. The staff were friendly, fast and efficient. The rooms are spacious and just wonderful. Please stay here and only here if you are in Sonoma. I would give this place one hundred stars, if I could.

To start with the positive, the idea behind the design and the construction of the hotel is beautiful. The little ideas with outdoor games, wine tastings in the afternoon and lavender bags are nice ||But this hotel has serious issues with communication, housekeeping and maintenance. ||Four emails to different recipients prior to arrival remained unanswered a phone call to reservations with a request for a certain room location was not granted due to missing communication within the hotel. ||The cottage itself was in a condition unacceptable for a hotel in the 600$ league. A closet door that did not close, filthy old carpet in bedroom, the fireplace glass so stained that we could feel the heat but barely see a flame and a bathroom so dirty that we asked to have |additional thorough cleaning. |After this additional cleaning the sticky light switch, the mirror and the floor were cleaned but limescale on shower door , brownish shower tub discoloration and toothpaste and/or soap stains on cabinets remained for three days. ||I had higher expectations in this hotel brand but have the feeling that quite a few of the Marriott chain properties are heading this way.
