We had a great experience during our week stay at the Hilton Baton Rouge. The valet employees always opened the door for us and they were always so very friendly and helpful. During checkin, Kate and Michelle were helpful too, very polite and professional. Everyone working at the Hilton was kind and courteous. The room was clean and very nice! Our room overlooked the Mississippi River and the pool. And room service worked maticulosly and with great care to clean our room daily, refreshing everything. Thanks for a great stay!

Fun & fantastic bartenders! Sarah & Timothy need a raise!! Keep up the amazing work! The down stairs bar area was packed and they were super fast! Drinks tasted absolutely phenomenal! We have already booked our next trip to hang out with them!!

This place is great! Sarah & Timothy at the bar are the bomb! We stayed here randomly in September & Sarah was so awesome, we came back again because we had such a great time! Her drinks are awesome and the environment is a lot of fun! Very fun & chill! Will definitely be back for LSU games! Go Tigers!

Sarah and Timothy were awesome! Such an awesome atmosphere. The drinks are great! Overall, the stay was awesome. The beds are comfortable and all the staff are super friendly. Super easy check in and valet are very accommodating. Overall, great experience.

The Hilton in Baton Rouge was a mixed experience. The valet parking was particularly frustrating. They had a text system in place for retrieving your car, but it wasn’t used at all, so you end up standing there waiting in person, wondering why the car you texted for hasn’t shown up. The alternative is self-parking, with lots a block away or across the street, which wasn’t the most convenient option but at least it worked.

As for the room, it really needs a remodel—probably should have happened a decade ago. The bathroom is honestly a joke. It’s cramped, with poorly designed inward-opening doors that make it even more awkward. The plumbing is another issue entirely. There’s no cold water, so you’re left with either nothing or scalding hot water, even in the shower. On top of that, the water is so soft that soap won’t rinse off properly, leaving you feeling like you’ve got a sticky film on your skin. And to top it all off, the tap water had a pretty unpleasant smell.

That said, the bedding was surprisingly clean and comfortable, and despite the annoying hum from the fridge, I managed to sleep pretty well. The location is excellent if you need to be downtown, but the hotel definitely needs to address some basic issues—especially with the plumbing and bathroom design.

One other thing that stuck out was the hallway noise. It felt like the walls and doors were so thin that you could hear everything going on outside your room. Not sure if it’s guests being loud or just poor sound insulation, but it was definitely noticeable.

Great hotel and bar! Sarah and Timothy were the best bartenders. Super attentive, personable and just an all around good time. Second experience with Sarah and she is a top notch employee I will be coming back! Hotel accommodations are great and hotel puts the cherry on top!

Beware - bedbugs. I stayed here, woke up the second night at 2AM covered in bed bug bites (they can take a day to show up). Sure enough, saw a bug in my bed. The staff reassigned me to the room above, which is not good practice--all adjoining rooms should be treated. One staff member was helpful and gave me some cream. But it was not very reassuring; I heard they don't always spray the rooms after the bed bug reports. They need to bug bomb the whole building IMO; they are likely in the walls. Nope, I checked out and went to where I could do all my laundry myself for peace of mind. When I went to check out, the new front desk staff had no notes on what had happened during the night, they were like "why did you change rooms? why are you leaving early?". Really? Not a good look for a Hilton.
