I don't know how this place is possibly 4 stars when it does not include breakfast, the food options are severely limited, the "amenities" are slim to none and it's just super lackluster. If you are cruising to the port, this is an okay place but do not stay more than one day. Parking is fine, but a bit confusing. It's $40 a day. Not covered, it's just a secured parking lot. The hotel itself needs updating. The elevators are creaky, rickety and you don't need a keycard to use them which is not secure. The stairwells also can be accessed by literally anyone walking around the property. There was at least a peephole cover on the door. The room layout is odd because everything was at an angle. So there was no where to eat our food but the floor or bed. The blinds worked great, view was lovely. Beds were just okay. One of them creaked like it had baking sheets for bed springs every time you sat on it or moved. The bathroom door is a weird sliding barn door, so there is zero privacy. There are no towel hooks anywhere, so hanging your towels to try is impossible. There are no notepads in the room or pens, so good luck when you try to leave housekeeping a tip. The room service dishes were all out in the halls for 24 hours. The breakfast buffet was the same food that is offered for free at most other places, but here they charge you $30 per person. Thankfully one of the few things they did have was a shuttle to the port, and it was on time. But otherwise, There is no coffee machine in the lobby, no pump pots anywhere. I have no idea what in the world the money is being used for because this was one of the most expensive hotels we have ever stayed at and it had the least amount of amenities I have ever had. It's not at all worth the money.

I stayed here as the leader of a large travel group of 60 people. They were amazing to work with, both on the reservation and banquet sides. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel was so cute and vibes! Tons of attention to detail and lots of entertainment.

Not a great experience. Rooms were under construction, so the elevators weren’t working. The AC vents are rather large and placed at an eye-level location so I just happen to walk up to it and look at the air filter and it was caked in dust. Hadn’t been changed in many months. Nice to know that’s what we’re breathing in all day. Going down to the pool the next day and there were no towels out there so we had to go back up to our room and grab our bathroom towels. That should’ve been our queue, not to go in the pool But we did anyway. The next day, my girlfriend said that she didn’t feel right and to make a long story short she was in the hospital for five days with a bacterial infection that she got from the hotel pool. We called the hotel to let them know the situation to see if there was anything they could do and we were treated very rudely and basically told to take it up with our credit card company if we were unhappy. So we did just that. Not a great experience and definitely won’t be back.

The shower and the complimentary soap were amazing. The view was amazing. The room service breakfast/mimosas were amazing. The people that work there putting up with us always needing more coffee were amazing. The fire pits, the location were all amazing. My only complaint was no hot tub bubbles after a certain time.

Great location if you want to be close to the port. Be mindful it’s a port location. I had a recent injury and needed a wheelchair accessible room the staff was very accommodating to change my reservation upon arrival for a wheelchair room. That being said the doors are very heavy and my room didn’t have a wheelchair door. I needed someone to help hold the door open so I could wheel myself in. I don’t see how a power chair would be able to fit honestly. Maybe this was just the room I had. The shower did have a fold down platform to sit down on for those that are disabled.

Attended a wedding here this past weekend. Diane at the front desk was very helpful and professional. Many of us were needing early check-ins. She was very patient with our requests and addressed each of us in a calm manner. She is definitely an asset to this property.

We had such a great experience at Hotel Maya this past week. Ashley, and the rest of the staff, were all amazing. Probably one of the best trips ever, based on the service, aesthetics, and amenities. And it was in the same location that the jetski excursion was at, so, very convenient. It was beautiful. Our only 'negatives' are that the elevator was down in our building, there weren't a lot of water fill stations and we wished that the bike rentals and continental breakfast were included in our stay. Otherwise, it was great! Thank you for making this trip memorable!

I recently stayed at Maya and had a great experience! I called ahead and asked if I could check in an hour early they let me with no charge! I arrived and seen a really cool Hotel. Once you pull into the parking lot it does not seem like if you’re in the Long Beach port. Upon arrival, employees helped me unload the luggage. I then proceeded to the front counter and got all that stuff situated. I made sure to get my warm cookies before they ran out. I am going to say that the lighting in the room is a little poor/dark. That did not bother me too much but it is something to take into consideration. The location is great as it is right next to the water. They have a restaurant named “fuego”. I didn’t get to try it out but I did try the bar and they served delicious drinks at a great price too! They have an area with sand and chairs to kick back and relax. There is also a pool with a warm heated jacuzzi (it felt amazing in there). They have a 24 hour grab and go store that has a lot of goodies. They are Pet friendly! For those who take their 4 legged fur babies. Parking does come in at $40 a day. All in a this whole was a “whole a** vibe” lol. If you’re debating on staying here or not I truly recommend it don’t let other reviews stop you from it. I forgot, they also have a free shuttle service too that can take you up to a certain distance. I forgot the length but we went back and forth to the outlets a few times.
