In 2021, my husband and I moved into our fabulous home that overlooks the Nowell Creek. The house was built with a classical touch of rich and beautiful architectural designs. This traditional design is a 'classic' downtown Charleston style, yet I wanted to give an updated feel to a few areas of the home. After attempting to solve what I thought were my main design concerns, I needed assistance to give a fresh perspective in color and design principles. A friend recommended Alex, and I was unsure if she would desire to take on my 'small' project. She listened to what I was looking for and came back with a plan. She took the time to explain why each change and upgrade was intentional and contributed to the vision I desired to achieve. Her solutions were well suited to my wants and needs without 'blanket changing' all my existing furnishings and finishes.
The main design choice that was similar to changes I had already identified was finding a new chandelier. She found the perfect choice and the price she quoted to me was the same price that one could find to purchase themselves. Knowing that the chandelier wasn't marked up was impressive, as this reveals how Alex does everything for the client. My husband and I were pleased with the timeline of the project and management of workers in our home. The quality of the job was to perfection, with Alex caring about the execution and my experience throughout the projects. Charleston is so fortunate to have her quality expertise in helping clients with design, color, and decor choices. Alex transformed a 'dark' game room, into a brighter room, reflecting our family's love of entertaining!
