This is not an AI written review. I had a wonderful stay at the Aloft. It was luxurious and comfortable. The staff were helpful and courteous. I was also offered a room that was on the lowest floor and had easy access to the back entrance. This really helped my senior pet. There was also a small grass patch to walk my dog. However, one thing that marred my stay was the door. The room door was very glitchy and I had a hard time unlocking it. It is also a very heavy door to open. The bathroom door did not shut properly. This is not expected from a reputed name like Aloft.

I usually don’t leave a review but I had to. Specially because the service by Sammy. She did an amazing job at the bar. Excellent service and made my day better. My flight was cancelled and I was stuck at the Reno airport for the entire day. It wasn’t until Sammy provided me good service I had something positive to say about my day. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because of her! 10/5 150% recommend.

We needed a hotel for the night before an early morning flight and Aloft was the perfect place to stay. Trendy, modern hotel with clean rooms. The rooms are spacious with everything you need. We used the shuttle to the airport in the morning which was SUPER convenient when leaving at 4 AM to get to the airport.

Candice at the front desk is a literal angel. We have stayed here frequently (dog friendly, frequent travel, we live pretty far) and have always had a positive experience- however, today was a very stressful and last minute booking that was messed up over the phone. I was essentially stranded with my dog hoping to meet my husband here from a super delayed flight and Candice made it work. She is the BEST. She was calm, cool, collected, sympathetic, and accommodating. She also had the cutest glasses and a fantastic suit. Love her, bless her. Thank you, Candice!!

Hotel was clean and updated. Staff was helpful and friendly. This is very close to the airport and a great option for travelers. The price was very competitive for the area and if you can afford to stay here then you should. Be aware that there is a $10 parking charge if you have a vehicle.

The first room we checked into had many (50+) ants in it. When we went to the front desk to ask to move rooms, they were unapologetic and said they could get housekeeping to clean them up. We said we wanted a different room (obviously cleaning up the visible ants would not be a long term solution) which they eventually got for us, but still with no apology or mention of compensation for the hassle. ||Then after our stay they charged us the $7 overnight parking fee despite our not having parked a car there and having told them that at check-in. We did eventually get it refunded to us but had to go through the hassle of requesting the refund and easily could have missed the charge.||There is no door between the shower and the rest of the room, just a curtain, and there is a gap between the wall the bathroom mirror is on and the main part of the room, so I recommend being comfortable with your roommates seeing you shower and not needing to shower while others sleep.||But it is close to the airport, although so are other options, which we will try next time we have an early flight.

The location, parking, and sound proofing are great at this hotel. That’s where it ends. The linens and towels are so thin, they’re like 50 thread count I swear. The shower has no shelf or ledge or anything to put stuff. I guess they assume you will only be using the chemical ridden products fastened to the wall. But I bring my own stuff and have no where to put it other than the floor of the shower so it gets all wet and that’s gross. There is no where to hang a hand towel. The breakfast offerings are awful. Not a good rep of the Marriott brand.

Positive: Shuttle to/from airport was fast. Staff is kind, professional, available. Negative: Room 129 in the middle of the night I went to the bathroom and the lights were unpredicable. The bathroom light did not turn on with the master switch or with the near by wall switch. And when I went back to bed, the bright mirror light turned itself on.
