We are locals and recently evacuated to the Art Ovation Hotel with due to the incoming Hurricane Helene. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and made us feel totally at home and we wanted for nothing during our stay. Once inside the hotel, we were practically oblivious to the storm as restaurants and room service functioned normally (and truly with amazing efficiency), full menus, quick professional service. It made a stressful situation much easier. Also they are pet friendly and we love the gift shop’s curated selection of soaps, games, puzzles, fragrances, and more! Shout out to Mary in Food and Beverage who was on top of everything and brought a poised vivacious energy and enthusiasm and to Adam in valet who is super cordial and went above and beyond. Food was good—between breakfast, burgers, and entrees from seafood to steak we enjoyed. Only suggestion would be a little less spice or spicy items (I know it’s a Mediterranean theme) The only other comment would be to add the local ABC affiliate WWSB channel 7 to the tv lineup. The tv worked perfectly throughout the storm but they only showed Tampa news channels, nothing local, we really wanted to know what was going on locally in Sarasota, (we had to stream the local channel but at least WiFi worked), this would be a big plus. Thank you to all the staff for showing up and being open and delivering exemplary service and support to our community during a difficult time. We highly recommend Art Ovation not just for storm evacuation, we have stayed there other times and find it super convenient, a smaller more manageable property than others nearby and also more upscale and personalized, it is walkable to so much, great restaurants, theater, opera, and very comfortable, great location, great service, love the ongoing art exhibits and events, it’s like Sarasota’s living room, a big asset to our community. Also the rooftop pool/bar is a big draw. Also love the Moulton Brown bath products.

Happened to go for the first time to visit the hotel. And in the lobby they happen to have a Latin artist in the lobby playing salsa. It was crowded and we needed chairs. It so happened that a young lady by the name of Enkela. She was amazing!! She located seating for our group and directed us in the were to pay. She helped us through the whole experience. For first timers that everything. He even told us about the roof top bar that we went to had had a great time listening to music and enjoying the drinks and appetizers they have. The service on the roof top is also excellent I must say the manager came to the table introduced himself and we had a good laugh. Above all my first experience was A+ |That you to ENKELA for going above and beyond in guest experience. It definitely will not be our last time there. Hope to see all the friendly face again.

The rooftop boasts stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to soak in the city skyline. However, while some drinks hit the mark, others fall flat, lacking consistency in flavor and presentation. It’s undoubtedly a quintessential destination with a chic ambiance, but the steep prices might leave you questioning the value. Overall, worth visiting for the setting, but temper your expectations on the drinks and budget.

This is my second time staying in 14 months and I highly recommend the hotel. Everything is first class. Checked in early and room was ready and was offered a free drink right away. The rooms are clean and modern. There is cool rooftop bar with pool on the 8th floor. And the staff is super friendly and helpful. They have great recommendations of places to walk to to watch the games — Brewsters, place to eat steak dinner — Hyde park at the bar, and good spots for breakfast — toasted mango. And they offered Free shuttle service to breakfast and to airport. Jim was courteous and friendly and so gracious about the tipping policy — up to you but that is not why he does it. Super cool experience all the way around and I’ll definitely be back!

We won a two night stay (staycation) at a silent auction for my kids school. We had a great time being tourists in our own town. We had an exquisite breakfast at the hotel, great drinks by the pool and a fun dinner at the rooftop bar/restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Staff was friendly and attentive.

I went with my boyfriend and friend and we had such a great time. The place had a great ambience - great drinks and food. We were assisted by Enkela and she went above and beyond to make sure our experience was delighful. She had a big smile on her face and was happy to help. We will definitely being going back. Again, thank you Enkela for being so professional and hospitable.

Amazing innovative hotel. From the moment you walk in your senses are filled with delight. From the gorgeous scent in the lobby to the visually beautiful art displayed everywhere, its a dream. The staff here was lovely from the front desk to the pool bar staff to the restaurant downstairs... impeccable! We had an amazing driver named Jim that shuttled us wherever we wanted to go and had really good suggestions and knowledge of the area. This hotel is a definite must when in town even if you're just popping in to see the art or have a drink.

Friendly staff and great location. Rooms were a bit worn but comfortable and clean. The rooftop bar was cool, though it felt a little clubby (we had just missed a bikini contest and DJ). It was still enjoyable for the short amount of time we were there. It was very easy to find free street parking since we did not want to pay for valet. Walking distance to some restaurants and coffee shops.
