Design SI Designed my backyard when I did a large remodel on my house. They were extremely creative in coming up with a plan that was exactly what I was looking for. The Bocce ball court Was a big hit and added value to my house when I sold it. My house sold in less than 10 hours on the first day for over $40,000 over asking price and sold again three years later for 160 over What I sold it for. I highly recommend Rouben and his staff, they do great Work.

Design SI was a perfect fit for us and they exceeded all of our expectations. More accurately, Rouben Mohiuddin was a perfect fit along with his team who were always very welcoming and helpful.
When we walked into Design SI we had no idea what to expect. We were lost after losing our home of 28 years to the Camp Fire and we were living somewhere between shock and fantasy. At that point we were only going through the necessary stages, if we were ever going to be able to go home again. At that point home was only an idea, an idea that was barely thinkable. Rouben helped us make it a reality.
Our home had been more than a house. We had designed it and built it ourselves. Our eleven grandchildren had grown up with it being a “constant home base” where they spent large amounts of time having fun and being loved. During this unprecedented, traumatic time in our lives, Rouben was able to make us feel listened to and cared about. The first question I remember him asking was, “What are the things about your house that you want to keep in the new one.” I knew I was in the right place.
I looked forward to our many design sessions. That was because Rouben and his staff always made me feel like my ideas were important and I was allowed to be very involved in the process. He had great patience with me in particular, and I appreciated his ability to gently keep me in line. I wanted and needed his expertise but I also wanted the freedom to explore my ideas along the way. That can be a tough combination, but Rouben handled it like the professional that he is. I’d say he was born for it and we were very fortunate to discover Design SI.
There were many other obstacles to overcome but I feel compelled to mention one. We did all of this during the COVID shutdowns. There again, Rouben found a way to keep our project moving forward. This was particularly important because we had to prove we were making progress to our insurance company every month, or lose our “loss of use” allowance. It felt like “insult upon injury” and without Design SI I’m really not sure what would have happened. ?

It was great to work with Rouben. He got us to express our concepts of what we wanted, then took that starting point and embellished it to create our dream home. He helped us every step of the way, from textures to colors, to interior design, using 3-D mock ups in order to compare options. He worked with our contractor to be sure everything was just the way we wanted it. The result was fantastic. We get great compliments on our house every time someone comes over to see it.

Rouben was our architect for our garage lost in the Camp Fire. He was open to our suggestions and incorporated them into our plans. He designed a 2-car garage for us that reflected the design of our older home. The plans were approved subsequently by the town without a hitch, and we are happy to say we are about to begin construction. Rouben and his team did a wonderful job and gave as much attention to our little job as he would a well designed house.

Design Si did an excellent job with our living room and fireplace remodel.
They were hands on when necessary but were also flexible when needed.
Rouben suggested a specific vision for our mantle that I would not have considered and that vision really made the project turn out excellent.

We asked Rouben Mohiuddin and his team to design a ground-up modern home to fit our sloping lot and maximize our lake view. Rouben knows modern design well and shared may options with us. He is very artistic and turned our ideas into something amazing. We enjoy our guests' comments on our home's lake view and spacious feeling.
