Last week, my colleague and I checked into the Hampton Inn & Suites on Washington Rd for two nights. Despite our late arrival, the receptionist greeted us warmly, ensuring a quick and efficient check-in process. Our rooms on the 3rd floor were notably clean and comfortable, with inviting beds and adequate desk space for working. However, the breakfast provided was a letdown, prompting us to seek better options externally, which we found at the nearby Waffle House. The hotel's lobby was a comfortable workspace for several hours of team collaboration. Overall, I rate our stay 4 out of 5 stars, acknowledging the excellent service and room quality but finding the breakfast wanting.

This is a good Hampton Inn, but I wouldn’t use it again for a few reasons unless I really needed to be on Washington Road. ||The pros: I had a room on the 5th (top floor), and the bed was comfortable and the room clean, with a good bathroom and walk-in shower. I needed a room for one night, and got one, at a relatively decent price. Check-in online was easy, and I was pleased to be able to use a digital key, meaning I didn’t even have to stop at the front desk. Breakfast in the hotel was good, and I could checkout using the Hilton app. And it was easy to get into downtown Augusta.||The cons: The area around the hotel is busy and crowded with heavy traffic (don’t even think of trying to turn left) and the hotel, nestled well back off the road was hard to find at night, even with GPS. Arriving at 9:15 PM, most parking was taken so I had to park around the side. My king room was smaller than most Hampton Inns, but was fine for just me, but would have been uncomfortable for two, as there was no place to spread out. Nearby I-20 made it noisy, not loud, just a low but constant sound during the night. It didn’t wake me, but when I was awake I always heard traffic. Before breakfast I walked to the nearby Starbucks for a latte and the neighborhood was dirty and littered with trash and beer cans, and little to no sidewalk. ||Recommendation: The hotel is good, but I have also stayed in the Hampton Inn Augusta West and found the surrounding area better.

What a surprise! First of all, pulling up, we didn't know what to expect. We were greeted and given our room key. However, we had no map, info, or anything. In their defense, online check-in is available and would have been easier. Next time we will do that. The workers were always working hard and friendly as well as helpful. The breakfast was by far the best for a hotel at this price point, and options were plenty. We are happy we chose Hampton Inn. We look forward to recommending to all of our associates and friends. Thanks, Hampton Inn, for a wonderful experience.

The exterior of the property is well maintained with an inviting aura. Upon arrival, staff will swiftly collect your fee and leave you with a key to proceed on your room finding journey. It is recommended that guests bring water, as this precious commodity is reserved for only the most elite. As you enter your quarters, you’re reminded of the deep history of all the travelers who once passed through, as their traces have been left untouched, stay after stay, across the tapestry floors.

Those with a fear of the dark will sleep well knowing that a pulsating light, emanating from the deck below, will fill the room throughout the night hours.

Weeknights you will enjoy the relaxing vibrations of deep base music radiating from neighboring rooms.

If you’re looking for an exciting night of mystery and horror, the Hampton Inn Augusta off Washington Rd will make for quite the experience.

Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of this Hampton. The surroundings were shady and started to worry before turning onto the property. But once we arrived, it was lovely and we enjoyed the pool and recreation area as well as the modern decor and cold A/C! Breakfast was top notch as well! Will stay again when in the area!

This was a great place to take it. Great service from staff, clean everywhere from room to lobby and very pleasant front desk personnel. Also adequate number of staff which seems to be an issue nowadays.

We are staying here with our travel soccer team. The girls are rather quietly playing a card game and socializing in the lobby, while the parents all sit around and socialize as well. The security guard comes up to tell us the lobby closes at 10:00 pm. Ok, we’ll go outside to the nice outdoor sitting area. No, we’re told, that closes at 10:00 also. We’re told our only options are to go up to our rooms, or out to the parking lot. Insane. We have been doing travel sports for years, and never been told that a hotel lobby “closes.” If you’re considering having your entire team or club stay here, DON’T. Take your business elsewhere. I will be sure our club never uses this hotel again. Such poor hospitality by the staff.

Rooms are clean. Lisa that serve the breakfast, is very friendly. She works hard to keep the tables and breakfast area very clean and neat. Staff is friendly. It does not matter what the staff is doing, even housekeeping & maintenance, they will always speak. That is a big plus for me.
