It’s unfortunate the power went off. I was not able to charge my phone or use WiFi or do much after the outage. I wanted to extend my stay but decided not too. Overall, the room was great and the service was excellent. Thank you, Amy. I enjoyed being able to receive and reply to texts. That is a new features that I loved. My room was spacious and loved having a very big balcony. Reasonably priced and VERY close to several businesses and the mall. Only 11 minutes from downtown Carmel. Went to Carmel beach as well but I’m sure the beach and fisherman’s wharf is nearby.

Stayed here for three days recently on a trip to Monterey & Carmel. The staff were exceptional, and very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable, modern, and clean, and you get a patio (a very large patio with tables and chairs, for some rooms). Good fitness center, with a big pool and a hot tub as well.

Given the amenities, location, and almost luxurious feel to some parts of the hotel, the room prices are very fair. My only complaints are the breakfast and the parking situation. There is ample parking on site (both in the lots and a garage underneath the hotel), and I'm not a fan of needing to pay an extra fee when the hotel comes with its own parking lots.

Breakfast is not complimentary, either - and while it's not necessarily expensive, you'll end up paying $15-20 per person before tax and tip for what amounts to standard hotel breakfast fare. You get pretty much all of the same options that come with any complimentary hotel breakfast, it's nothing special.

That said, it's worth staying here if you're visiting the area.

I HAVE to leave this review! My daughter and I flew into San Jose and spent the weekend in Monterey with family. A storm caused the power to go out at about 6:30am, and remained so for almost 48 hours. During this time, staff scrambled to get hot meals together for the guests, checked guests in using flashlights and battery-operated lanterns, provided extra blankets, and did it with the utmost class and grace. You would think a hotel with the Hilton name would have generators on hand, but that's not on the staff - they're just employees who did their best. Many guests checked out, and the ones who stayed took it in stride and made the most of it. This was definitely an unforgettable experience, and the staff were exceptional!!

4/5. Rooms are as advertised and reasonably priced. It's quiet and scenic. There are not as many good options for the restaurant but I never expected to use it anyways since there are a lot of good restaurants nearby.

My only criticism is the lightning within the rooms is not well reaching into the different parts of the room. It's on the darker side if you're doing anything which requires deep focus or attention

This hotel has a big warm pool and hot tub area with cabanas and games set up as well as a huge fire pit area to enjoy. The location is great; close to the wharf, aquarium and quick access to Highway 1. The rooms are recently remodeled and the housekeeping staff is excellent. After a long day, the bar is perfect for a drink and delicious meal.

This is a very good choice of hotels. When visiting Monterey. I stay here when attending a conference at Asilomar Conference center, which is a bit more rustic than I care for.

Rooms appear to be recently renovated, have laminate floors, well maintained bathrooms, and comfortable rooms.

They are clean comfortable rooms. There is a fairly well stocked fitness center, a small pool and hot tub area, and most rooms have some form of balcony.

Food is available on site. Breakfast is a buffet with options to have other items made to order. There is also a bar and restaurant on the other side of the site, by the registration area.

Challenges are parking full size vehicles in the underground garage. Sites are small. If you have a full size, park out back in the lot. Much more space. Also, there are several rooms facing a road/hwy 1 and if you are a light sleeper, might cause issues. Using a white noise app on your phone or ear plugs MAY be needed...

All in all, a very good stay. You are out of the hustle down by Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row. It's definitely a solid site to stay.

I’ve stayed here a few times during several weekend getaways through the years. In the past, I’ve never had a real issue until this weekend’s stay.

Upon arrival, it was smooth. The Hilton app allowed us to receive a notification indicating our room was ready early. Room was modern and clean.

My biggest complaint is the noise. We were on the first floor near the hotel lobby. High traffic area with people coming in and out of the hallway and you can hear everything. It’s like there was no door and you can hear every single conversation that walked by. Even the ceiling was paper thin and the footsteps from the guests above me just penetrated through. To add, it was a wedding weekend and the rowdy groups passing by the hallway caused my family to get little to no sleep.

If I do return, I’d likely choose a high floor and definitely away from the lobby.

This hotel is a little bit out of town but it’s very conveniently located for the freeway which was what we wanted as we were doing the 17 mile drive and going down to Big Sur while we were here and it’s 5 miles from Carmel which is lovely but a lot more expensive. |We were a bit shocked to be charged $20 per day to park in the hotel’s own carpark. These carpark charges which we encountered all along the coast did seem a new way to chisel money from customers. |However our room was very nice and spacious with a coffee machine and a nice balcony. And the room was very quiet. |The hotel had a laundry room which was great for travellers like us and avoided expensive hotel laundry bills. |We ate in the hotel’s own restaurant on 2 of our 3 nights probably because it was inconvenient to go into town but the food was good and not too expensive. |All in all the hotel had a relaxed and friendly vibe.
