We even added up down lighting in our backyard which gives a very remote setting to sit on our porch in the evening.

I am not a person who writes reviews but in this case I wanted to let people out there know that these folks are top notch. I've had professional lighting done at a previous home by a different company that i did not want to have at my present home so I checked out reviews and decided to call Majestic Lighting Design. Jodi and Josh were easy to work with and did a great job. And hats off to these installers....it was amazing the way they worked, so efficient, professional, and friendly. I love the way my house looks and would highly recommend these guys to anyone that wants this to be an easy great experience.Thanks Jodi, Josh and your amazing install crew......fantastic job.

I requested a quote from Majestic Lighting Design because my landscape lighting stopped working. Jose came out and spent several hours troubleshooting. I spoke with the Salesman Nathan and the Co-Owner Joshua and they wanted $1000 to replace 4 lights. And they wanted money upfront but I have been burned before. On the phone they lowered to $600 and we agreed but I said repeatedly I would pay when the job was complete. Joshua sent me an invoice on Friday for almost $300 and kept calling me but never left a message. On Tuesday he texted me, "are you legally reneging on our contract?" After I texted him and repeated my statement about paying when the job was complete.

He called me again, and when I answered it, he was screaming on the phone at me and saying the F-word repeatedly. He said "I know where you live and where you sleep". He said, "you're a liar". He seemed extremely unstable and angry that I didn't want to pay until the work was complete. I paid the $300 invoice for Jose to troubleshoot but I said I did not want to do anything else with them based on the very aggressive behavior of Joshua. Also, Joshua threatened me with legal action if I filed a negative review. He said he would file a negative review on me. He said his partner was a lawyer. I recorded the conversation. I am concerned for elderly people and women dealing with this person who is highly unstable.

I strongly recommend you avoid doing any business with this company.

So, after getting 3 estimates from local Houston lighting companies I chose Josh to complete my lighting installation and honestly he was really easy to work with. He worked with me on price, and the design to get something I love, and never once pushed me, or tried to do the hard close sales thingy. I appreciated his personality and attention to detail. Jose was wonderful too, and those guys worked hard to ensure I was satisfied. Thank you guys very much!

While the lighting fixtures and overall workmanship was good with this company, their responsiveness and ability to professionally schedule the project and needed follow up was well below expectations. They were very responsive on coming out initially to look at what was needed and preparing a quote. But once a deposit payment was made, they failed to arrive when first scheduled, and did not follow up with us to advise of such, just did not show up. Then after several delays and having to regretfully threaten reversing the deposit and cancelling the project, they arrived and did the installation.

During the installation, there seemed to be a considerable disconnect on what was needed material wise and what they brought to the site. The onsite technican needed to resolve with their office and returned another day to complete the installation. At the conclusion of that, the final payment was promptly issued to Majestic Lighting for the full balance due.

Then we noticed that one of the transformers they used would be operate as intended. A call was put to Majestic Lighting asking for support with this. I was asked to go to the box, open it up, and flip the internal breaker. No problem here and it resolved the issue, but only for that one evening. The breaker would continuously trip meaning either the transformer had an internal defect or something in the installation was causing it to trip. I called Majestic LIghting, they said they would come out to investigate the problem, but they never did.

For several weeks now I am calling and texting (their preferred communication style) and no response, no call backs, and no return to resolve the issue. Project is not working and they have been fully paid but they are not properly taking care of the situation. Having to escalate the manner further.

I would caution current and new potential customers against making full payments until the system is proven to be fully operational and reliable. For the amount we are asked to pay for their services, the level of detail, professionalism, and responsiveness should be much better than what I have received. Again while happy with the overall installation other than the part that is not currently working, and I am very disappointed in how they run their business and how they treat paying customers. I am giving two stars because of the quality of the lighting fixtures, but I would only give one start if I was only evaluating the overall business and how they treat customers. Use caution.
