Everyone was friendly. Check-in was easy and the desk clerk was extremely helpful. The hotel was clean. The breakfast ladies were incredibly nice. I thought the bed was comfortable, but my husband didn't like the pillows. It was nice having the extra space.

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Charlotte for six nights and had a very disappointing experience. The first room I was given had a foul odor, the bathroom sink didn’t drain, and there was a loud, disturbing noise in the bedroom. After dealing with these issues for three days, I informed the front desk and they moved me to a second room. However, the problems didn’t end there.

While in the second room and undressed, the housekeeping manager knocked once and then just walked right in, despite both deadbolts being on and a “Do Not Disturb” sign hanging on the door handle. She claimed she didn’t know anyone was in the room, which I find completely unacceptable. I immediately complained to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager, hoping for some form of compensation, such as extra points for the inconvenience. The front desk clerk told me twice that she would relay my concerns to the manager, but I never heard back from anyone.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before, but in recent years, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of service and overall standards at Marriott’s lower-tier properties. This stay was the last straw, and I won’t be returning. For the price they charge, the experience was nowhere near worth it. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Got there and had to check in at desk to get my digital key. The whole point is to not have to stop for the extra time. Went to room and stepped off elevator to odd smell. Went into room and found it to be very dated. Turned on light and saw something but wasn't sure what. Set my things on table and went into bathroom. As I'm washing hands I see a small roach on mirror that darted behind mirror. I not realized that what I saw first when turning on light was another roach go under the dishwasher upon entering.

I grabbed my things and left. What's scariest is the fact that when I came down and told lady at desk that I wasn't dusting because I just saw 2 bugs, she wasn't the least bit shocked or surprised. She was very very nice but it's obvious this place has a known large infestation or else they wouldn't be seen like that and the reaction by staff would be different.

If you want to melt every night while you sleep…this is the place. I have slept 4 nights here out of my stay in which each night the thermostat gets well over 70 degrees. The whole day it’s around 66 then at night when I’m trying to sleep It gets up to 74-76 degrees. The unit literally shuts off on a program every single night. The hotel does this clearly to save on electricity. They tried saying I had It on heat….which they changed the thermostat. Left me a note saying you had on “heat”. I’m not some idiot that doesn’t understand how to work a damn thermostat. TERRIBLE STAY

It was a nice stay. I only did 4 starts because it smelled like mildew. My kids (11 & 15) couldn’t smell it. I am very sensitive to smells. I called the front desk to explain my concern & very generously they moved me to a different room, which to me smelled the same to me. I could tell they tried to remove the smell & did their best to accommodate

I recently stayed at this hotel in the Ballantyne area and had a fantastic experience. The property was incredibly quiet, making it easy to relax, and its convenient location near stores and the highway was a huge plus. The staff, especially Mr. Francis, were outstanding - his lively personality and eagerness to assist made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were spotlessly clean, which was greatly appreciated. The only drawback was that one of the elevators near the entrance wasn't working, but the attention to detail elsewhere more than made up for it. I was particularly impressed when I asked Mr. Francis to prepare a pot of coffee for my colleagues and me using the coffee we had brought from Target during my morning run - he happily obliged. Thank you, Francis, for going above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Your dedication and attention to detail truly made our experience memorable. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

One of my favorite people at this hotel is Consuelo. She went above and beyond with her helpful personality. She made our stay so pleasurable. The staff in the Buffet section were very kind and nice!! Both engineers were very helpful. The cleaning staff go above and beyond, I really like the job they do. Only one complaint, it was late, maybe 11:00pm or so, it was chili and I went to the front desk to get a blanket. No one was present for approx 10 minutes. The worker was clearly laying down over by the television. I did not appreciate having to wait for anything at that time of night. I was the only customer present. He was either sleep or something. I didn't care for how long he made me wait, he did not appear to be customer friendly at all. Little younger guy, I had never seen him during my stay.

I had no idea this was a pet-friendy hotel, and that all rooms are accessible to pets. Our first room smelled like pee, but they moved us with no issue.
